Service Description

A half-day adventure to discover the mysterious underwater world of the Mayan Riviera, marine life and cenotes, the underground caves, and river system typical of the Yucatan Peninsula, unique in its genre! You'll be part of a small group guided all the time by a professional tour guide certified in naturalistic and snorkeling activities. Your adventure begins by getting in a minivan, together with your tour guide, heading to the Mayan jungle. You’ll be visiting one of the most beautiful cenotes of the Mayan Riviera, where you'll be swimming in its crystalline water surrounded by ancient tapering structures such as stalactites, stalagmites, and wonderful games of light. You’ll be seeing underwater tunnels, fossils, roots of strong trees, bats and if you’re lucky enough, the famous motmot birds as well. After a light snack in the shadow of some palm trees, you'll leave the jungle in our van headed to the enchanting bay of the turtles. Here you will be given the snorkeling equipment and, together with your guide, you'll start a 45 minutes circuit in the open sea by entering directly from the shore or after a minute cruise on a small boat to reach the Mesoamerican reef, the second-longest in the world. You’ll be able to see brown and green brain corals, purple fan corals, squids, stingrays, colorful fishes, but above all, some beautiful sea turtles in their natural habitat. You’ll be snorkeling among them, seeing them speeding next to you or “strolling” real slowly, browsing some seaweed, or resting on a rock. You'll be back in your hotel after an exciting half-day dedicated to the suggestive water world! Not recommended for: people with severe back problems, serious heart conditions, pregnant ladies. It includes: minivan round trip with a/c; certified guide; full snorkeling equipment (flippers, swim mask, snorkel, life jacket); wetsuit for the cenote; snack and water. Additional cost: Federal tax to enter at Akumal bay.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations should be carried out at least 24 hours before the date of your booked tour. In case of a no-show on the day of the tour, your deposit will be no refund. If you'll change the day of the Tour after the No Show, you are welcome !!
